Underground Railroad Talk with EJ Murphy
EJ Murphy, Project Coordinator for the Waverly Community House’s Destination Freedom: Underground Railroad Walking Tour of Waverly will host talks to coincide with the Everhart’s new exhibition Through the Darkness to the Light: Photographs from Along the Underground Railroad, on view through January 5, and WVIA Wednesdays at the Everhart: Harriet Tubman.
Murphy, an educator and public historian from Scranton, PA, will discuss the Underground Railroad as it pertains to the local history of Northeastern Pennsylvania, an important stop on the way from the American South to Canada.
