Underground Railroad Talk with EJ Murphy

To coincide with the Everhart’s new exhibition Through the Darkness to the Light: Photographs from Along the Underground Railroad, which has been extended through January 12, the Everhart is hosting EJ Murphy, Project Coordinator for the Waverly Community House’s Destination Freedom: Underground Railroad Walking Tour for a discussion on the Underground Railroad and 19th century abolitionist movement
This event is free, and registration is not required.
Murphy, an educator and public historian from Scranton, PA, will discuss the Underground Railroad as it pertains to the local history of Northeastern Pennsylvania, an important stop on the way from the American South to Canada.
