Curious about writing or illustrating a children’s book? This free two-part adult workshop is led by an award-winning author and illustrator Lindsay Barrett George, who has 18 published picture books, is perfect for aspiring storytellers of all backgrounds.
Over the course of two 90-minute sessions, you’ll explore the essentials of crafting a successful picture book. Learn how to develop strong characters, write engaging openings, and master plot, pacing, and the rhythm that makes children’s books memorable.
You’ll also gain insight into what makes a manuscript stand out to editors and agents and leave with a clearer path to turning your story idea into a finished book.
This class is free, but pre-registration is required.
