Austin Burke: NEPA Through and Through

That Austin Burke loves his roots in the anthracite region is an understatement. Burke’s paintings celebrate the richness of life throughout NEPA, where the artist has resided his entire life. After a successful 40-year career as president of the Scranton Chamber of Commerce, and working for the state under then Governor Ed Rendell, Burke returned to his art full time and took further classes at his alma mater Keystone College, where he was awarded an honorary Doctorate in Human Letters. The exhibition will showcase Burke’s renderings of well-known Scranton and NEPA landmarks. The Everhart is proud to bring Austin Burke’s interpretations to the area, city and its people he has championed his entire life.

There will be an opening reception with the artist in October.
