Immerse yourself in history, art, and science through our guided experiences! Children and adults alike will gain a more in-depth knowledge and understanding of all the Everhart has to offer by joining us for our specially-curated experiences

  • Interested in bringing a group?

    Please reach out to book your guided tour two weeks in advance of your desired tour date. 


    Tours may be scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday


    Each guided tour is designed for a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 15 people. Anything more than 15 will require an additional docent and the group will be divided into two smaller groups while touring the Museum. 


    All guided tours are 90 minutes in length. 


    One week prior to the tour, you will receive a tour confirmation email and an invoice which needs to be paid the day of your visit via cash, credit card, or check. We ask that you send an official head count of participants at least one week prior to your tour. 

  • Tour Cost

    Tours are a flat rate of $7 per person including chaperones. Group tours booked by Museum members receive a 15% discount off total cost.

    The Everhart Museum has partnered with the Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program which allows us to provide free guided tours for public schools. If you are a teacher or school interested in participating in this program, please inquire about this option.

Everhart Unveiled: An Exploration of Collections and Exhibitions

Take a journey through natural history, science, and art across place and time, with a special emphasis on the unique history of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

• Learn about prehistoric life through ancient specimens and scientific illustrations.

• Identify the fascinating traits of birds that help them survive in their environments.

• Discover the geological history of Earth and our own region through rocks and minerals.

• Examine the work of artists creating in a variety of places, eras, and styles, with a special focus on regional artists from the Folk Art traditions of the 1800s to the modern stylings of today.

• Get an in-depth look at regularly-changing special exhibitions, like the current Hubble Space Telescope: New Views of the Universe.
