The Olde Stories storytelling performance group will regale us with the stories "Somnium" ("The Dream") by Johannes Kepler, a 1634 foundational work of science-fiction, and "Der Mond" ("The Moon"), a traditional German fairy tale collected by Brothers Grimm, all set to a celestial backdrop of out-of this world sounds. The group features Jason “Louis XIV” Smeltzer (reading, theremin, eurorack), Ron Stabinsky (piano, organ, synth), and Doug Smith (upright-bass).
This event one of your last chances to see Hubble Space Telescope, developed by NASA and the Smithsonian Institute Traveling Exhibit Service, which closes Sunday, October 18. The Lights Above is on view through Sunday, November 15.
This event is included with general museum admission ($10 Adults, $5 Seniors/Students & Kids Free) and includes light fare. No registration is necessary.
