Found Objects, New Worlds: The Assemblage Art of Dr. Mel Wolk kicks off with a special free community opening, where guests will be among the first to see the exhibition and get a chance to meet the artist.
Admission is free, and there is no registration necessary to join us for the evening.
Found Objects, New Worlds: The Assemblage Art of Dr. Mel Wolk
Dr. Mel Wolk’s whimsical, colorful artworks offer takes on life, love, sports, and politics, but his assemblages also offer abstracted ideas. He is a master at pulling together disparate pieces, and turning them into finished pieces that comment on the human condition, or just make someone smile.
There is a method, as they say, to the good doctor’s madness. His recycled creations are prime examples of what can be created with discarded items.
