Everhart Express to the Met

The Everhart is pleased to announce that we are kicking off the Everhart Express bus trip series in 2025 with a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, back by popular demand! The Everhart Express is a hassle-free excursion to some of the world’s finest museums and cultural attractions, all within a day trip of Scranton.
The Met presents over 5,000 years of art from around the world for everyone to experience and enjoy. Since its founding in 1870, it has aspired to be more than a treasury of rare and beautiful objects. Every day, art comes alive in the Museum’s galleries and through its exhibitions and events, revealing new ideas and unexpected connections across time and cultures.
The cost includes the bus trip, admission toThe Met, and tip for the driver. Lunch is not included, so plan accordingly. Enjoy a full day at the Met, or do a quick sweep through the Museum, and spend the rest of the afternoon in Central Park or at one of the countless wonderful restaurants within walking distance. Itinerary
• Depart from the Everhart Museum in Scranton at 8:30 a.m.
• Drop off at The Met at approximately 11:00 a.m.
• Pick up at the Met at 5:00 p.m.
• Return to The Everhart Museum in Scranton at approximately 7:15 p.m.

Collection Tour: Impressionism and Post-Impressionism

Spend an hour in deep exploration of part of The Met collection, from ancient Egyptian art to French Impressionist paintings, Islamic textiles, or the work of contemporary artists.
