WVIA Wednesdays at the Everhart: Barbara Weisberger–En Pointe

Join us for WVIA Wednesdays at the Everhart as we celebrate Women's History Month with a documentary on Barbara Weisberger, founder of the Philadelphia Ballet. Weisberger, who spent much of her life and career based in Northeastern Pennsylvania, was among the most influential figures in American ballet in the latter half of the 20th century. WVIA Wednesdays at the Everhart is a free monthly screening series programmed in partnership with WVIA Public Media especially for senior citizens. Cupid Shuffle Film Screening

In partnership with Marywood Films, the Everhart Museum is pleased to present the original film Cupid Shuffle, and a panel discussion with the creators afterwards. The second film entirely written, shot, performed, produced, directed, and edited through the combined effort of over 30 Marywood students, Cupid Shuffle is a romantic comedy about two college-aged students with a supernatural twist. Marywood Films would like to thank the Everhart Museum for hosting their screening and giving the greater Scranton audience a chance to see this locally made film. This event is open to the public to attend and is free with museum admission.

City Nature Challenge Workshop with Matt Schultz

Join us for an info session and workshop on the 2025 City Nature Challenge (CNC), free with regular Museum admission. Led by local naturalist and regional CNC coordinator Matt Schultz, this session will introduce you to iNaturalist, a free app that helps you document biodiversity in your community. After a brief introduction, we’ll head to Nay Aug Park to put your skills into action! The City Nature Challenge is a global event happening April 25–28, where citizen scientists worldwide record observations of local wildlife. Don’t miss this chance to contribute to a global biodiversity project! The CNC is organized by the Natural History Museum of LA County and the California Academy of Sciences. Hop into spring with a fun, Easter-themed craft at the Everhart Museum! Drop in anytime between 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. to create your own unique Easter basket collage. Using pre-cut basket shapes, you’ll decorate with colorful paper eggs, fun stickers, glitter, and more!
