Cooling Flow Yoga with Mindy Hill
Saturday, July 19
10:00–11:00 a.m.
In the midst of summertime sequencing through an Ayurvedic lens, we’re exploring the elements of space and earth in our yoga. Space offers an opportunity to slow down, reflect, expand, and air out the body. Earth provides the stability that allows for expansion. In yoga, the earth element is accessed through strong standing postures, poses where the hands and feet are rooted to the ground.
Flow yoga is a gentle type of yoga that features fluid movement, vinyasa, and twists. It will generate warmth to help move lymph, increase circulation of blood and prana (life-force energy), and clear the mind. Weather permitting, we will be practicing on the front lawn of the Everhart in beautiful Nay Aug Park.
The $10 registration fee includes Museum entry after class.
About Mindy
Mindy discovered yoga while working full time in retail and raising her children. She began taking classes at a local studio. At first, she joined class twice a week, but within six months, she was practicing every single day and taking time off work to catch sessions with her favorite instructor.
Twenty five years later the passion has grown to become a lifestyle. Mindy has turned her passion into a career of helping others through physical and emotional challenges in life. She went on to train not only as a yoga instructor, but also a yoga therapist specializing in grief yoga and a personal trainer and wellness coach.
