The Everhart invites everyone to celebrate the life and legacy of Peg McDade (1937–2025), a masterful fiber artist and deeply influential teacher whose creative spirit shaped the region’s arts landscape for decades with a free reception marking the opening of her exhibition Artwoven by Hand.

On view June 19 through November 30, this exhibition is more than an art show: it’s a celebration of a lifetime devoted to making, teaching, and uplifting others through the fiber arts. Peg’s work spans decades and techniques: woven, stitched, embroidered, and always full of care. Her legacy lives on in every piece and in the countless people she inspired.
