Everhart Express Fall Foliage Tour to the Dorflinger Factory Museum

The Everhart Museum is pleased to announce the next destination in our Everhart Express series. On Sunday, October 27, the Everhart Express will be headed to the Dorflinger Factory Museum in White Mills, PA!
This hassle-free excursion takes passengers on a trip to admire the beautiful fall foliage of the Pocono Mountains on the way to and from the Dorflinger Factory Museum, where the group will enjoy a docent-led tour of some of the finest glassware ever produced in the nation. Afterward, the Express stops for lunch at Wallenpaupack Brewing Company at nearby Lake Wallenpaupack.
The total includes the bus trip, admission to the Dorflinger Factory Museum, the docent-led tour, and a tip for the bus driver. The cost of lunch is not included. There is no discount for seniors, students, or children.
Itinerary
• Depart The Everhart Museum in Scranton at 10:00 a.m.
• Drop off at Dorflinger Factory Museum. Tour begins at 11:00 a.m.
• Pick up at Dorflinger Factory Museum at 12:30 p.m.
• Drop off for lunch at 1:00 p.m.
• Pick up from lunch location at 2:30 p.m.
• Return to The Everhart Museum in Scranton at 3:30 p.m.
• Tour of the Everhart’s Dorflinger Glass Collection until 4:00 p.m.

Dorflinger Factory Museum
The Dorflinger Factory Museum is a regional industrial heritage museum celebrating the history and craftsmanship of the Dorflinger glass companies in Brooklyn, New York and White Mills, Pennsylvania. The Dorflinger companies produced fine lead crystal table ware for U.S. Presidents, governments, and wealthy individuals during the Gilded Age. Housed in the factory’s restored 1883 Cutting Shop and ca. 1888 Factory Office, the museum is home to a premier collection of Dorflinger glass. Exhibits explore the history of the company and its visionary leader, Christian Dorflinger, how this remarkable glass was made and decorated, and how it was used in society.
Wallenpaupack Brewing Company
Founded in 2017 by Rebecca Ryman, Wallenpaupack Brewing Company is an award-winning 14,000 square foot craft brewery, brewpub and beer garden adjacent to Lake Wallenpaupack in the Pocono mountains. Inspired by the lake and all that it offers, our menu of handcrafted beers and in-house prepared foods use locally-sourced ingredients whenever possible for an authentic taste of Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA).
