May 15, 2013 Stoker on Stoker, 7:00 pm
Dacre Stoker, great-grand nephew of Irish author Bram Stoker, has created a compelling and informative presentation detailing the many mysteries and speculations surrounding Bram Stoker’s writing of Dracula. He ties in the background and research behind the writing of Dracula the Un-Dead, the Stoker family endorsed sequel, a novel he co-authored in 2009. In addition Dacre has completed a nonfiction book Bram Stoker’s Lost Journal released in 2012, which sheds a new and interesting look into Bram Stoker’s early life in Dublin, Ireland.
The never before published and seldom seen Stoker family images as well as Dacre’s down to earth style of presentation has captivated audiences over the past two years in a wide variety of locations. He has customized the presentation to be appealing to High School and College students as well as to serious literary and Vampire fans. Dacre reveals true “insider” stories about his family as he explains his search for the truth about Bram Stoker and clarifies the issues that have caused confusion and speculation amongst scholars and fans for years.
