In collaboration with Broadway Theater League’s presentation of The Addams Family, the Everhart Museum presented Gothic Weekend, a Valentine’s Day weekend of all-inclusive gothic-themed events in conjunction with the Museum’s new exhibit The Blood is the Life: Vampires in Art & Nature. Each package included: admission ticket for the exhibit, prime orchestra seating for The Addams Family, and a complimentary “meet and greet” with the show cast.
The Addams Family is a magnificently macabre musical comedy featuring an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. Now Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
There were six performances of The Addams Family during the weekend of February 15-17, 2013 and the Everhart Museum and Broadway Theater League worked with our Scranton-area partners to create a unique ticket package for each performance.
