The Everhart Museum will be hosting a new exhibit on the history of D-Day to be shown from February through June 2014. In coordination with the exhibit, the Everhart Museum, the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and NEIU 19 are co-sponsoring a 10-day artist-in-residence program with artist Elizabeth Parry Faist to develop a community exhibit to be hung in Gallery One of the Everhart Museum. The goal of the program is to create public works of art that reflect the region and its people during World War II. By collaborating with several organizations throughout 5-counties, we hope to develop a solid representation of our area during this time. Each county will hold its own community day to finish the mural pieces that will be installed at the museum in February.
