We are jazzed to announce that cocktail experts Rosemary and David Falchek will be serving up concoctions and a brief presentation on the spirits of 1963, including JFK’s beloved Daiquiri and a Vodka Martini (shaken, not stirred) in honor of James Bond! Accompanying the evening’s vintage cocktails will be hors d’oeuvres with a sixties flair.
Chef Gene Philbin of Peculiar Culinary Co. has created an incredible tasting menu inspired by 60s-era culinary delights.
Everyone is welcome and you are encouraged to dress in early 1960’s garb! Tickets are limited, so book it to the phone (570-346-7186 ext. 521) and clue in your friends. It’ll be a real blast!
Shaken, Not Stirred: Cocktails & hors d’oeuvres from 1963 will include an opportunity to preview the new exhibit 1963: A Blast from the Past, featuring the year’s most pivotal events from the civil rights movement and the cold war to the death of JFK and the Space Race. Created by Marywood University students in collaboration with museum staff, the exhibit opens to the public on Friday, November 22nd.
Please leave the ankle biters at home, as all attendees must be 21 years of age or older.
