Farm to Table 2011

Farm to Table, 2011

FARM TO TABLE premiered in September 2011 as a new fund raising event for the Everhart Museum. The first-time event focused on a celebration of fall harvest in the Northeast Pennsylvania and supported America’s growing “locavore” movement by consuming foods grown and produced in a 100-mile radius. By eating “locally” we support the regional economy and the agricultural heritage of our community.

The menu for FARM TO TABLE was created by Chefs Cliff and Dave Daniels of Eicurean Delight using foods grown and/or produced in Northeast Pennsylvania. Seasonal beers and wines were served, along with fresh cider. The family-style dinner was held on the grounds of the Everhart Museum which were transformed by Duffy Event Design working in collaboration with Magpie Vintage. Despite rainy weather, the crowd had a great time and enjoyed entertainment provided by Hickory Rose, a local country band.

FARM TO TABLE was particially underwritten by the following:

Presenting Sponsor: Wright & Reihner

Event Sponsors: Allied Services, Bill’s ShopRite, First Liberty Bank & Trust, Laser Northeast Gathering Co., and Lavelle Strategy Group.

Program Sponsors: Pat & John Atkins, Eleanore & George Ginader, and Ruth & Tim Lenahan.
