Rosen Method is an easy movement program designed to increase range of motion, improve flexibility, and ease breathing. Gently using all the joints, this exercise was developed to prevent difficulties and help people age gracefully. Set to music and held in various galleries throughout the museum, Rosen Method movement is a fun way to find well-being in a social, dance-like atmosphere. Rosen Method movement is held on Thursdays from 11:00 am to Noon. Admission is free to Everhart Museum members, $6/class for all others. Students age 10-14 will create their own unique response to this exhibit using various media such as digital photography, collage, painting and sculpture. The program will take place at the Everhart Museum on four consecutive Saturdays. Registration is $25/Museum members and $30/non-members. In collaboration with Broadway Theater League’s presentation of The Addams Family, the Everhart Museum presents Gothic Weekend, a Valentine’s Day weekend of all-inclusive gothic-themed events in conjunction with the Museum’s new exhibit The Blood is the Life: Vampires in Art & Nature. Each package includes: admission ticket for the exhibit, prime orchestra seating for The Addams Family, and a complimentary “meet and greet” with the show cast. There will be six performances of The Addams Family during the weekend of February 15-17, 2013 and the Everhart Museum and Broadway Theater League have worked with our Scranton-area partners to create a unique ticket package for each performance. Author, impresario, and master fangsmith Father Sebastiaan will be visiting the Everhart Museum for a discussion on the modern vampyre.
