MOTR at Russell Park in Carbondale

The Everhart Museum is a proud partner of the City of Carbondale. Sponsored by Lackawanna County Arts Engage, the Museums on the Road (MOTR) program is set to continue for a 2nd year at Russell Park in Carbondale, Pennsylvania.

This year, artist Ted Michalowski will work with students at the Summer Program at the Russell Park Complex to create a mobile mural that will be on view for Pioneer Nights in Carbondale and permanently installed at a site to be determined. Students will also draw inspiration from the museums collection on a field trip to the Everhart.

Ted Michałowski’s work as courtroom artist for media coverage of high-profile trials such as the Eric Frein trial and the Bill Cosby trial, has been broadcasted by CNN, CNN en Español, CBS News, ABC News, and Fox News. He has contributed illustrations to such clients as The New York Times, Disney, The Knitting Factory NYC, Weekender, Electric City, Diamond City, Scranton Times, Times Leader, the City of Scranton, and was the exclusive poster illustrator for The Northeast Theatre from their twelfth through sixteenth season.

Michałowski is a roster artist for the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts, serving as Artist in Residence for various schools, and teaching in the Arts Alive and EVERArt programs.

Michałowski conducts his annual Drawcore Poland tour since 2009, creating live murals and large drawings in major Polish cities, also teaching study-abroad classes through Poland. Larger regional mural events include the Lords of Drawtown: Drawcore Skatepark Mural 2011 at Jefferson Street Skatepark in Scranton, and Drawcore Alley 2012.
