Everhart Museum volunteers have the opportunity to gain exposure to the workings of a major regional museum through participating in all aspects of museum operations. Volunteers can work in a number of different departments and they provide invaluable support. Potential volunteers should possess a passion for and appreciation of learning, a flexible attitude, and an understanding that reliability is critical. Please contact the Programs Department for further information.
Have you ever wondered what it is like to work in a Museum? Internships at the Everhart Museum offer college, graduate students, and recent graduates opportunities to work closely with museum professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for students to get behind-the-scenes practical experience. Projects vary, but students will leave with in-depth knowledge of the Everhart’s collection, day-to-day operations, and experience of both preparation and execution of galleries and programs, and having made a significant contribution to the ongoing development of the Everhart Museum. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Call us for further information. Internships may be available to college students for credit.
