In partnership with the Scranton Fringe Festival, students in grades 7th -12th will work with professional visual artist Elizabeth Parry Faist, to visually interpret plays set to be performed at this year’s Scranton Fringe Festival.
This workshop is primarily designed for teens interested in the visual arts and developing pieces inspired by Fringe performance themes. Students will work with Elizabeth in a variety of media to include paint, photography and collage.
At the culmination of the program, visual works will be on display at the 2017 Scranton Fringe Festival.
About the Lead Artist Instructor:
Elizabeth Parry-Faist is a photographer and mixed media artist from Factoryville, PA. She received her Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Connecticut in 1997 and her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1995. In 2005 she was awarded Arts in Education “Artist of the Year” by NEIU. Her pieces have been exhibited in places such as: The State Museum of Pennsylvania, The Everhart Museum, Afa Gallery, WVIA, ARTWORKS! gallery, The John Slade Ely House, Quinebaug College, South Shore Art Center, University of Bridgeport, Erector Square Gallery, The William Benton Museum of Art and Hunter College.
