Taxidermy in museums plays an important role in engaging people with the natural world. Many of the specimens in our bird gallery have been on display for over a century, and in that time their feathers have faded, their eyes have become cloudy, and they are in need of cleaning and conservation. This requires the work of an expert ensuring they will survive for future generations.
If you would like to contribute to our efforts in maintaining these specimens in perpetuity, please donate to our conservation fund, or contact the director of development to discuss the many ways you can support our museum mission.
