On September 29, 2010, the Everhart Museum’s Board of Trustees adopted the following Mission Statement and its accompanying Core Values.
We believe in the power of the Everhart Museum to spark the imagination, challenge thought and provide enjoyment. Through our collections, exhibits and programs, we strive to integrate natural history, science and art into the lives of people.
Community: The Everhart Museum is committed to fostering a strong relationship with the community it serves.
Affinity: The Everhart Museum will facilitate experiences that encourage people to consider the perspective of others.
Stewardship: The Everhart Museum has a responsibility to maintain and enrich its collections of natural history, science and art with an appreciation of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Inspiration: The Everhart Museum is committed to using its assets to provide a stimulating and inviting environment for first time and experienced visitors of all ages.
Integrity: The Everhart Museum will earn the public’s trust by demonstrating integrity in everything we do.
